Blenko's big bubble ashtray #508 in scarce and coveted color called Rose. Blenko Rose was produced between 1963 and 1964 only. Beautiful heavy blown glass ashtray from the early 1960's. Hand-crafted in West Virginia, USA by Blenko Art Glass. Makes an excellent cigar ashtray, but works just as great as a stand alone dish. Hand-made in America blown from a molten gather of glass with internal air bubble pockets hand-inserted by pin. The three smoke rests were accomplished by hand-tool. Soft pontil mark on inverted base. Weighs fashion 4.2 pounds! Measures 6½” round and 3” tall. The glass is clean and brilliant and there are no chips, cracks, or bumps. Super condition!.
