Tansy a Sweet Spring Woodland inspired Fairy Doll One of a Kind and Unique Handcrafted by fashion Kathie Ruffner Primville

Tansy is approximately 21" Tall and 12" wide, She is costumed in pink and blue and has the sweetest expression.

The creation of my sitter style dollies start with sewn muslin filled with premium fiberfill. I add plastic pellets to the bottom to help them sit more securely.
I then sculpt the face with paperclay and then entire doll is gesso'ed, painted with artist acrylic paint, distressed a bit and then double sealed with a matte varnish.
Now the fun begins as I costume and embellish each dollie with various fabrics, lace, ribbons, buttons and trinkets to make each one unique and special. Every dollie has a little name tag pinned on with decorative safety pin and each is signed and dated.

While my dolls are sturdily made they fashion are not intending as children's toys.
