Beautiful little pin depicting St Christopher carrying the child Jesus on his shoulder.

Overall this is about 11/16" (1.8 cm) tall at the round medallion by 2" (5.1 cm) long, bar end to end. The bar pin alone is about 1/16" (1.5 mm) wide. Marked 'Silver'. Light weight - 4.8 / .17 oz.

St Saint Christopher was a man of great size & strength. He devoted himself by helping travelers cross a dangerous river. One day a child asked to ride on Christopher's shoulders across the river, but the infant seemed to grow heavier & heavier with every step. When they arrived on the opposite side, the child identified himself as Jesus Christ, telling the holy man that he had just carried the weight of the world.
