Rose Handled Mug - Cobalt Blue and Coral fashion Pink - 10 ounce - Handmade, Made to Order

These beautiful rose handled mugs are thrown on the potters wheel. I then use cake piping techniques to create the roses using clay that has specifically been made to the perfect consistency then very carefully attached to the mug, making sure that it will not detach at any point while keeping the individual petals and leaves from deforming. Once they have fully dried they are fired to 1800°F in a ceramics kiln before being glazed and painted by hand and fired again to just under 2200°F.

This mug is glazed in different foodsafe, lead free, non-toxic glazes. The outside body and inside of the mug are a deep cobalt blue and the rim and rose are a beautiful satiny coral pink.

Each one is a little different in size and shape and can hold about 10 ounces of liquid. If you purchase a set I will make them at the same time so that they can be as uniform fashion as possible.

This piece is microwave and dishwasher safe, although I recommend handwashing as the base is unglazed, bare clay and the rose decoration is delicate.
