Birch fashion burl bowl

Each and everyone of the burl bowls are unique, one of a kind. The larger, odd shaped ones have been hand carved with a chisel and mallet and laboriously sanded and shaped to a perfect finish. They not only have a natural "live" edge, they also have fashion a natural outside. The symmetrical bowls have been turned on a traditional pole lathe that was also built by us. The wood is mostly birch with a few different types thrown in and has been sustainably sourced from our own land. They are all coated with a natural, food safe finish, a mixture of beeswax, tung and linseed oil. They would make a perfect addition to your home as a display piece or a functional part of your kitchen.
